The Love of My Next Life by Brit Benson Release Blitz & Review

 Release Date: September 8

I calmed his demons.

He created mine.

Macon Davis.

My best friend’s brother.

My tormentor.

My least favorite person.

Pothead. Delinquent.

A careless, directionless loser.

That’s what I used to believe,

but I didn’t really know him.

And when I finally saw him,

it was the best and worst thing to ever happen to me.

We burned hot and fast.

Passion. Anger. Love. Pain.

We were reckless. Naive.

We were doomed from the start.

When I finally saw Macon Davis for who he was,

We both went down in the flames.

The Love of My Next Life is part one of a duet.

It is just as much a love story as it is a tale of ruin.

While the duet will end with an HEA, book one does not.

Book two is set to release in October 2022.

Meet Brit Benson

Brit Benson writes romance novels that are sassy, sexy, and sweet.

When she’s not dreaming up her next swoony book boyfriend and fierce book bestie, she’s reading.

When she’s not reading, she’s probably marathoning a Netflix series or wandering aimlessly up and down the aisles in Homegoods.

Brit currently resides somewhere near the Blue Ridge Parkway with her husband, daughters, and dogs.

The Love of My Next Life (Next Life Duet, #1)The Love of My Next Life by Brit Benson
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Lennon and Macon’s story is going to rock your world! Book one of the Next Life duet is unlike anything Brit Benson has written thus far. The Love of My Next Life is painful, angsty, traumatic, hilarious, and heartfelt! The ups and downs of this book will definitely feel like you are on the world’s most exhilarating roller coaster. It does end in a major cliffhanger, so be ready!

Lennon, the super sweet girl next-door. Macon, the best friend’s bad-boy brother. What could go wrong? The chemistry between the main characters is so alluring. On one hand, you want to protect the heroine and her goodness. On the other hand, you wanna see her let her braid down and get a little dirty with her arch nemesis.

Macon is such a broken and pained young man. He’s just trying to do what he can to get through life and hurt the least amount of people in his path. He struggles alone with many demons and you find yourself really sympathizing with his character, despite his general assholery. Benson did an incredible job of writing extremely complex, troubled and vulnerable characters in this book. No one gets out unscathed!

The heat in this story is off the charts! The push and pull never stops. One minute they’re fighting with harsh words meant to cut like a knife and the next they can’t get close enough to each other. The draw that Lennon and Macon have towards one another is something that can’t be explained or rationalized. It goes so much deeper than the physical. They understand each other on a level not many couples can relate to.

You’re going to fall head over heals for some characters. You’re going to want to punch others. You’ll deeply feel their pain and sadness. You’ll laugh out loud and highlight so many one liners and jabs. This romance story truly has it all!

TLOMNL is an absolutely tantalizing slow burn, forbidden and unavoidable. I cannot wait to read how it ends for these characters!
