A month ago, I was a rookie with the best stats in the league. I was traveling the world, playing hockey, and making more money than I ever dreamed.

Then my sister showed up on my doorstep, expelled from high school, with nowhere else to go.

I don’t know the first thing about being responsible for a troubled teen, and the team jet isn’t exactly kid-friendly.

Enter Piper. My sister’s new teacher and nanny.

Smart, nurturing, and just as beautiful as I remember.

I fell in love with her four years ago and never stopped.

Too bad she hates my guts.

We need her.

And this time, I’m not letting her go.

Wild About You is a full-length second chance romance with a grumpy NHL player, his teenage sister, and the ex-girlfriend he never forgot.

REVIEW OF WILD ABOUT YOU:

3.5 stars - a very swoony second chance romance!

Tyler and Piper's story picks up 4 years after they broke up after a whirlwind 8 month long distance relationship that started on a family vacation. I highly recommend reading the short story Wild Promises which is the prequel to this book. Tyler is now an NHL rookie and Piper just so happens to be his little sister's high school art class student-teacher in the same town.

The chemistry between these two clearly never faded and their mutual attraction is off the charts during this entire book. Tyler is such an incredible hero and puts everyone before himself. Piper is trying to survive and find herself and her path in life.

The mutual respect and understanding that both characters have for one another made this such an easy and relatively drama free read. The miscommunication was minimal. There wasn't some ex or side piece trying to swoop in and ruin what they were rebuilding. I think that's why the book wasn't a higher rating for me. I just kept waiting for some tension or stressful situation to arise and there wasn't much. There's a little contention near the end regarding Tyler's mother and little sister but that's about it.

I adored this couple and their story, don't get me wrong. This just felt a little too perfect for me. But it was a worthwhile read and I loved the side characters who brought so many laughs and unrelenting support to this book! I cannot wait to read more stories from the Wildcat world.
