Love You Better by Brit Benson Release Blitz & Review

 Release Date: July 23

Kelley Pierce is my person.

Loyal. Dependable. Strong.

He makes me laugh on my darkest days and calms me when I’m at my most chaotic.

He’s also totally gorgeous, or so I’ve been told.

And sinfully sexy, not that it matters.

Best friends don’t notice those things.

Kelley gets me like no one else does, and I get him. Our friendship is perfect.

Kind of.

One chemistry-filled moment has the power to change everything, and soon old feelings we’d ignored and memories we’d tried to forget come crashing back.

I never want to lose him, but I’ve been keeping secrets.

And I never prepared for falling in love with my best friend.

*Love You Better is a sweet and sexy, best friends to lovers, second chance romance. The new adult romance has heart, heat, and an HEA sure to make you swoon. Love You Better is the first standalone in the Better Love series.

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Really enjoyed this debut novel by Brit Benson! The characters were extremely likeable, well thought out and charismatic. I thought the slow burn, friends to lovers tropes really worked for this couple. The author even included some emotionally heavy elements of second chance romance too. Kelley and Ivy were so sweet together. Their friendship was strong and admirable, even if they both kept things close to the vest that they didn't share with each other. The entire read I wanted to knock them upside the head to get them to see what was right in front of their face. Everyone else in the story acknowledged it except the two main characters. They were both so obviously in love with each other!

The romance was HOT!!!! I wasn't sure how I'd like sugary sweet Kelley with a dirty mouth in the bedroom but it really worked for this couple. They were so darn good and kind but in the bedroom they let go and were uncharacteristically dirty and I was here for it!

I adored the ending of the book and was so happy for a HEA! I loved all of the side characters and the humor, comradery and support they provided to the main characters. I would have liked to get more insight into Kelley's family like we did Ivy's. Some parts of the story I wanted more details on and felt they were glossed over.

I gave this book a solid 4 stars. It was a phenomenal debut novel and I can't wait to see what else this author writes.
