I've been in love with her for two years.
The first time around I screwed things up. I hesitated and the moment was gone.
I passed when I shouldn't have.
Not a total loss. I gained a best friend instead of whatever we might have been.
Sydney is hands down the best thing that's ever happened to me, and I'll do anything to keep her in my life. Even bury my feelings deep inside.
But one hot summer together at the lake filled with lots of teeny-tiny bikinis and I'm ready to risk it all for a second chance.
It's time to take my shot.

4.5 Couple Goals stars!!!
I fell head over heels for this second chance, sports, college romance between Shaw and Sydney. Their connection was soul mate level. I adored their friendship and how devoted they were to each other. I loved how the author allowed them to figure things out over a longer period of time, before throwing them into a whirlwind romance. Because they knew each other better than anyone, I think that made the heat and passion so much hotter in the end! Shaw was such a genuinely good dude. He put Sydney first, no matter what. He cared about someone so much more than himself. It showed in all of his choices and actions. Syd was such a compassionate, driven and intelligent woman. She was the entire package!
I don't have a single negative thing to say about this book. Wellllllll except for maybe that B of a sister Tanner had. She was a meddler and made things difficult when they didn't need to be. But that brought some fun drama to the story, in an otherwise relatively smooth story line.
I adored all of the friends both main characters had, especially Benji and Jonah! Everyone could see what was so obviously transpiring between the H and h and played along that they were "just friends".
The Pass was some of the sweetest, hottest, most heart warming romance I've read in a very long time.
(Pssssttttt Rebecca, we need a m/m sports romance around J!)
