Wrong for Me by Meagan Brandy Review

As this author mentioned in the intro of this book, you may feel rage. Oh boy did I! I spent almost the entire read wanting to junk punch every single character. Alec was a jerk to the extreme. Rowan was stringing Oakley along and breaking her heart in the process. Oakley was all over the place emotionally. This book was full of drama, miscommunication, angst, lust, rivalry, secrets and love.

I have a hard time getting through a book when there is a big looming secret that keeps getting hinted at throughout the entire story. This was certainly the case with The Wrong Blaze aka Wrong for Me. Alec and Trick (Oakley's father) were both keeping major things from her. Rowan her best friend was keeping something from her. The entire read Oakley seemed to knowingly be in the dark and never pushed hard enough for answers. This was the most frustrating thing for me. Everyone around her admitted that there were things she didn't know. My head started to spin with the level of secrets and deception.

As the story progressed, I downright loathed every single character for very different reasons. But by the end of the book, when it became apparent how and why things played out the way they did, I couldn't feel anything but happiness for the main characters. The author puts you through the ringer of emotions the entire book and finally lets you breathe in the very last chapter and epilogue.
