Title: THE TROUBLE WITH WANTING

Author: Jillian Liota

Genre: Contemporary Romance

About The Trouble With Wanting:

Ruby Roberts is heading to Cedar Point to connect with the father who left her behind. Easy conversation with the handsome man sitting next to her isn’t what she’s expecting from her cross-country flight, but it’s not something she’s complaining about, that’s for sure. Boyd Mitchell is flying home for some end-of-summer relaxation and time with his favorite people – his family. A talkative seat-mate that pulls him out of his shell is the last thing he wants, but he can’t seem to resist her charm.   When Boyd and Ruby end up in the same lakeside town, their banter and flirtation quickly become a steamy fling that leaves them both breathless. Neither of them are expecting to find a romance that has them both reconsidering everything they used to believe about love. As their time in Cedar Point comes to an end, the two will have to decide whether they want their connection to turn into a real-world relationship, or whether wanting more is nothing but trouble.

5 stars!!!

Honestly, there was not a single part of this book that I didn’t enjoy!

The entire story was so emotional, but at the same time playful and fun. With each heartbreaking moment, there came many more exhilarating and captivating ones! A well rounded story about finding love when and where you least expect it!

Ruby, the heroine, was completely infectious! Her personality was unique and quirky and it absolutely worked for this story! She fit right into the Mitchell crew as if she’d grown up around them her whole life. Small town life really looked good on her!

Boyd, the hero, was a bucket of swoon. A little gruff, a little standoffish but when he warmed up and opened his heart, oh wow did I get all the heart eyes and weak knees! He was so protective of his family, always looking out for them even when they got on his nerves. But when it came to the opposite sex, somehow he’d always managed to keep them at arm’s length.

This book was a tantalizing slow burn! The sexual chemistry between the main characters was undeniable, yet they found a way to take things slow and get to know one another on their short duration trip. They proved that a connection can be much deeper than just a physical attraction, if you’re willing to let down your walls and allow someone to see your raw and honest feelings. I loved that the characters took the time to get to know one another and spend quality time in each other’s presence. Their little adventures just added to excitement of the story. Boyd’s willingness to take things slow with Ruby and show her what she’d been missing in her past relationships proved what an incredibly compassionate and patient companion he was.

The entire storyline around Ruby’s upbringing, her father and his family was heartbreaking! But she handled it with grace and a backbone of steel! I was so incredibly proud of the way her character spoke her mind and didn’t allow anyone to belittle her or make her feel unwanted.

I actually enjoyed the suspense near the end of the story! It added some much needed honesty and reflection. I think everything played out just the way it needed to and nothing was left unresolved. The extended epilogue the author provided was also incredible, so be sure to check that out!!!!
